Getting free content for SEO when advertising a writing job

Summary: Do you want great content writers? Could you use a content boost of 20 or so relevant articles for your website – for free? Place the right advert in the right place and watch some excellent content roll in.

Job advertsWe’re not suggesting for a second that you should advertise fake jobs to get content for your website. Only post an advert for a job when you genuinely want to attract good writers to work with – otherwise it’s unfair on the writer concerned and you’ll gain yourself a lot of negative press online and this will go against your company/website name.

Try advertising your job on the traditional job sites e.g. Monster.co.uk. Reed.com, fish4jobs.co.uk to name a few – these sites have sectors for every industry. Then, there are also classified websites such as craigslist.co.uk and classified.co.uk which are one stop shops covering a number of sectors including housing, businesses, jobs, etc.

When creating your job advert, make sure your advert covers all the aspects of the role and the person you are trying to attract. When placing a writing specific role, ask for a sample piece on your chosen subject i.e. Automotive, Manufacturing, Design etc. Give a deadline date for all entries to be in and from the submitted pieces you should be able to identify some great pieces to use. Let’s say you get thirty pieces submitted with twenty that could potentially used. From the twenty you can identify five great writers that you want to continue working with for future content, and in the process, you have gained a lot of content from one job advert.
